ANDRES DE ANTONIO SIMANCAS

AN ENTREPRENEURIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL JOURNEY
EARLY INNOVATIONS

Andres a mechanical industrial engineer from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, inventor and trailblazer with a track record of 16 registered patents and 6 more pending across Spain, Mexico, and the United States.

Andres journey of innovation began at a young age. In 1964, at just 14 years old, he secured three invention patents in Madrid for a rotary engine prototype, igniting a lifelong passion for pioneering solutions.
(Patents: 395/1737)

Andres's journey continued with groundbreaking practices when at 15 years old at CENIM (Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Metalúrgicas), he invented a novel process for extracting blister copper from copper sulfides.

SHAPING A GREENER FUTURE

Andres's passion for sustainability shines in his revolutionary inventions. The year 2016 saw the patenting of a solar-powered seawater desalination system (Patent: 372 089), addressing California's drought concerns.

Additionally, he patented a process to extract oil from abandoned PEMEX wells (Patent: 391 481).

His commitment to sustainable solutions persisted with patents for lithium hydroxide extraction from Salton Sea brines and a system to desalinate seawater from Long Beach Port to Calipatria California, utilizing high-enthalpy geothermal energy. This system aimed to provide 800 cubic hectometers of freshwater annually for desert irrigation in Yuma, Arizona and Mohave, California.

In 2018, Andres unveiled a groundbreaking geothermal energy generation process (Patent: 385 095) in Imperial Valley, capable of producing electricity at an incredibly low cost of $0.35 per MW, utilizing a novel dry hot rock system (Patent: 385130).

Andres's innovative prowess extended to creating a novel geothermal-electric conversion system (Patent: 385 096) for harnessing high-enthalpy geothermal energy, converting it into abundant and cost-effective electricity at just $0.02 per MWH.
